These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NeuroContext at neurocontext.app. NeuroContext is run by me, Harry Yu. By using NeuroContext, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 13 to create an account or buy a paid plan. Free features can be used without an account. A parent or guardian may use NeuroContext on their own account, including to help a younger child, and is responsible for that use.
Accounts require a gmail.com or .edu email address and a verified email. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. Provide accurate information, and do not create accounts for other people without their permission.
NeuroContext identifies implicit language in text, such as idioms, sarcasm, figurative speech, and social cues, and explains each one in plain, literal terms. For longer text and PDFs, it also provides summaries and key points.
Results are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. NeuroContext is a helpful second opinion, not the final word. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, academic, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for professional help. Do not rely on it alone for important decisions.
Using NeuroContext costs credits. Short text costs 1 credit. Longer text with context and PDF uploads cost 3 credits. Credits reset weekly, starting Monday at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The current limits are:
Prices for paid plans are shown on the Pricing page. I may change credit limits, features, or prices. For paid plans, I will tell you before a price change applies to your subscription.
Silver and Gold are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe. They renew automatically until you cancel. You can switch plans, downgrade, or cancel from your account page at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Payments are non-refundable, except as required by law. If you delete a paid account, no refund is provided for the remaining period, and you would need a new account and a new payment to subscribe again.
When using NeuroContext, you agree not to:
You keep the rights to the text and files you submit. You give me permission to process them as needed to provide NeuroContext to you, as described in my Privacy Policy.
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your email address cannot be used to create a new account after deletion.
I may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, misuse the service, or put NeuroContext or other users at risk.
I work to keep NeuroContext available, but I do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. I may change, add, or remove features at any time.
NeuroContext is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to NeuroContext. My total liability for any claim related to NeuroContext is limited to the amount you paid me in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have paid nothing.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.
I may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If I make significant changes, I will say so on this site. Continuing to use NeuroContext after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to me here.
